A float plane excursion offers an incredible opportunity to soar above these picturesque destinations, providing an unforgettable perspective of their natural beauty. Join me as I recount my exhilarating experience of flying on top of Whistler and Squamish, a journey that left me in awe of the region’s majestic splendor.

Takeoff and Soaring Skies: As I boarded the float plane by Whistler Air at Harbour Air, 8069 Nicklaus N Blvd, Whistler, BC V0N1B8, excitement coursed through me. The engine hummed to life, and we taxied along Green Lake before ascending into the vast blue sky. The moment we left the ground, I was greeted by breathtaking views of Whistler’s rugged mountains and lush forests. The pilot skillfully navigated the aircraft, allowing us to revel in the unparalleled beauty that lay before us.

Whistler’s Mountain Majesty: As we soared higher, Whistler’s majestic mountains unfurled beneath us like an expansive canvas of natural wonders. The iconic peaks, such as Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain, stood tall and proud, their snow-capped summits glistening in the sunlight. From this vantage point, I gained a newfound appreciation for the sheer scale and grandeur of these awe-inspiring mountains.

The Enchanting Squamish Valley: Leaving Whistler behind, we ventured towards the breathtaking Squamish Valley, known as the “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada.” From the sky, I marveled at the valley’s lush forests, pristine rivers, and the mighty Squamish River that snaked its way through the landscape. The expansive views revealed rugged cliffs, picturesque waterfalls, and the iconic Stawamus Chief, a granite monolith that stood as a testament to nature’s artistic prowess. It also fly on top of the famous picturesque Garibaldi Lake and the mighty Black Tusk.

Gliding Over Glaciers: During the flight, we were treated to a mesmerizing spectacle as we glided above glaciers nestled within the mountains. These vast icy formations seemed to stretch infinitely, their blue hues contrasting against the surrounding landscape. Witnessing the glaciers from above provided a unique perspective on their immense size and the critical role they play in shaping the region’s geography.

Unparalleled Aerial Photography: Throughout the journey, I couldn’t resist capturing the extraordinary scenes unfolding beneath me.
